On Friday, we played Builders and Bulldozers. The builders put the cones up and the bulldozers knocked the cones down. The team with the most cones down or up were the winners.

Jo, from CBEC, came to our class and talked to us about worms. She showed us some compost. We were able to explore the compost to find the worms and the other insects living in the compost. Jo told us that worms help plants grow. Then we made a worm farm for our classroom.

Today we spent some time in our class garden. We put our class worms into their new worm farm in the garden area and we dug the garden over to get it ready for planting. We had a fabulous morning!

Mrs Hammond made Anzac cookies with Room One. They were delicious!

I like Poppa Jim’s sports because he helps us exercise. My favourite game is playing with the balls.

We went to the rugby club to see a puppet show. It was the coolest show ever. The girl had to make straw into gold. I liked the queen and king puppets.

Today we went to the rugby club. When we got to the rugby club we sat down on the mat. We saw some actors that made a show about Rapunzel. Rapunzel got locked up in a castle. She got out by getting on a beanstalk. She climbed down from the castle. She had no voice when she came out of the castle.The show was super duper fun!

Room One celebrated Book Week with an exciting visitor, Doug the mystery reader. Wearing a hi-vis vest, gumboots and a blue hard hat, Doug came from the quarries of Pukepoto, to Room One, to READ! Ka pai Doug.
