Pastoral

Our Pastoral Care Team is dedicated to supporting student well-being and fostering a positive school environment. Through various initiatives, they promote our school values of TiRAMa: Tikanga, Respect,  Aumangea, Manaakitanga, ensuring all students feel safe, valued, and empowered to succeed.

• Behaviour Management Pyramid: Encourages positive decision-making and personal growth by reinforcing respectful and responsible behaviour.

• Physical Activity Leaders: Promotes active lifestyles through inclusive games and movement, fostering teamwork and perseverance.

• Student Council & Student Service Groups: Provides leadership opportunities that strengthen a positive school environment, community involvement, and manaakitanga.

• Lunchtime Activities – Playground & Classrooms: Creates structured and inclusive play opportunities that promote tikanga, social skills, and engagement.

• PB4L Lessons: Each teacher create 3-5 lessons based around our school values TiRAMa, focusing on one core value each week. These weekly values are promoted Monday morning at assembly and lessons throughout the week reinforce these values at Ahipara School.

By leading these initiatives, the Pastoral Care Team helps students embody our school values and grow into confident, responsible individuals.
