In collaboration with Sport Northland, our Ahipara School PALS (Physical Activity Leaders) have launched a campaign to keep our tamariki moving during the school holidays.
Did you know?
According to Sport New Zealand, the percentage of New Zealand children meeting daily physical activity guidelines is low, with only 7% of 5-17-year-olds meeting the 60-minute-a-day benchmark set by the world health organization.
To combat these statistics, our PALS have put together 6 fun ways to stay active during the school holidays.
6 Ways to Stay Active:
Play rugby with friends
Shoot some hoops
Have fun on your scooter (and wear your helmet!)
Try some yoga
Go for a walk or stroll
Just get outside and play!
Also, check out these fun dances below to keep moving!
Let’s get active and have fun these holidays!
