At Ahipara School we thrive on our saying "TiRAMa - To Shine" by deeply integrating our core values of Tikanga, Respect, Aumangaea, and Manaakitanga into our student's daily lives. 

Tikanga is about doing the right thing at the right time, honoring customs and traditional values, especially in a Māori context. 

Respect is key, nurturing an environment where every individual is valued, encouraging kindness and understanding among peers. As well as respecting our enviroment, keeping Papatuanuku and Ranginui clean.

Aumangaea signifies strength, bravery, resilience, persistence, determination, and tenacity, embodying qualities of courage and steadfastness in the face of adversity. 

Lastly, Manaakitanga emphasises hospitality and care for others, teaching students the importance of empathy and community.
